be made. They have however suggested that it may be quite possible that the two students concerned could secure the experience they desire with Contractors or Consulting Engineers in Hong Kong.
Lin H.K. MATT who heads the M.B.I. list, is also well over the nonal age, and desires an advanced course in automobile engineering. The F.2.1. are not yet certain whether it would be possible for the to errange such a course, but are approaching appropriate works in this country, and 1 will notify you of the results of their further enquiries as soon as possible. In case this should not prove possible, however sixth candidate has been included in the P I.'s list of recommendations, as a reserve.

5. I should be grateful therefore if you would inform me as soon as possible whether you agree with the recommendations on the F.I. selection list in paragraph 3 above, (with the above reservation in the case of H.A. WATT), or whether you,desire any
modification to be made to that list. I should be grateful also if you would arrange for the students selected to be contacted with a view to confirming that they wish to take up the apprenticeship which it is proposed to offer them. I should be glad to know whether any of the students concerned have any particular preferences as to the firm or firmo with whom they would wish to receive their training.
